Thanks for thinking of Red Means Recording. I work with companies whose gear I'd actually want on my bench, and the notes below should tell you fast whether that's us. My audience trusts me because I'm honest. I show gear the way I really use it, the good and the annoying, and people buy things based on that. So a placement here isn't a read-out bolted onto unrelated content. It's your instrument in my hands, in front of the people most likely to want it.
What I cover
A great fit
- Hardware synths, drum machines & samplers
- Eurorack & modular gear
- Grooveboxes & standalone instruments
- Effects pedals & processors
- Anything with knobs, jacks, or pads
Worth a conversation
- Preset & sound design (hardware or software)
- Demo music made with your gear
- Sample pack collaborations
- Custom tracks for launch content
Not for video
- Software, plugins, VSTs, DAWs
- AI music tools or AI content
- Crowdfunding campaigns
Pitches in the “not for video” column won't get a reply on the channel side. One exception: if you're a software company after preset packs or demo tracks, that's a different conversation and I'd like to hear it.
Rates
Starting rates for sponsored video work. Final pricing depends on scope, usage, and timeline, but this is the floor so we both know we're in the right ballpark before we talk.
from $1,000
Performance / demo
A jam with your device, no talking, or a focused three-patches feature with a module. The gear does the talking, not me.
from $2,000
Full walkthrough
A complete hands-on tour of your hardware or module: my honest take, real demos, in front of the people most likely to buy it.
Two things, up front. I don't work for free. Exposure doesn't pay the bills, and paid work is the only way I can give your product the time it deserves. I don't cover borrowed gear, either. To feature a product I keep the unit, no loaners going back. It keeps my coverage honest, and it means I actually live with the gear I talk about.
How to pitch me
Use the form below. The more of this you can tell me up front, the faster I can give you a real answer: what the product is and where I can see it, what you're hoping for (review, demo, presets, sample pack), your timeline, and your budget. I read everything that fits what's above, and if it's a match you'll hear back.
